The Blues found themselves trailing early in the game after Alexander Isak beat Robert Sanchez in a one-on-one after being put through on goal by Lewis Miley.

However, Mauricio Pochettino's men did not have to wait long for the equaliser as Sterling rose to the occasion with an incredible strike from a set piece a few yards outside the penalty box. It had the perfect weight and dip as it glided over the wall and swooped into the top corner.

Sterling has been gradually realising his potential under Pochettino as it was his third goal contribution in the last three Premier League matches. It was his sixth strike of the season in 15 appearances across all competitions and the English winger will be looking to reach double figures as quickly as possible.
